World Refugee Day 2022 Playlist
On this World Refugee Day 2022 that coincides with the United States’ observance of Juneteenth, we reflect upon how intertwining forces of dispossession and environmental injustice drive people from their homes, and how these same forces often disallow people from defending their environments or moving to safer ground.
We have curated this Climate Refugee Stories Playlist to honor all who have experienced forced displacement, immobility, or unfreedom, and all who work to build worlds of welcome and refuge—past, present, and future.
Listen and share the Climate Refugee Stories Playlist:
Featuring music by @soultreesmusic, La Santa Cecilia, Mereba, Kevens, Gordon Koang, Ausecuma Beats, Residente, Mindy Meng Wang, Kendrick Lamar, and more! Please share using the hashtags #climaterefugeestories and #WorldRefugeeDay.
